Go back to doing the things you used to do when you first met, try and recall and ask him too to help in recalling all the lovely things you did back then and ask him to help you in rekindling some of that past romance, sometimes relationships can get stagnant after a while so you both need to putting the work in not just you, communication and some compromise will be needed from both parties enjoy rekindling.

Try asking him he he needs a little space, and if he does, pay attention to how he uses it. Mind games suck, men don't react well to them, and they tend to make matters worse. Simply tell him that you have noticed an emotional distance between you two, and you'd like to know if there is something he would like to see change on your behalf that would get him more involved in a positve way. Be upfront and kind.
