 In your culture, which I assume is Muslim, it is typically forbidden for a man to speak to or otherwise approach a girl. Mature women (above about the age of 10) are usually veiled to hide their appearance and prevent male to female interaction. Is this not correct in Jordan?
In the Western World, interaction between genders is very acceptable. It is the way that young men and women are permitted to meet and select a mate. We are allowed to choose whom we wish to marry and create a family. In the Islamic culture, women are traditionally purchased by a man who is the highest bidder, and if of sufficient wealth, is allowed to select multiple wives.
