A male United States age 36-40, anonymous writes:

Hi aunts, I need some insight. I just got married March 27. I found out yesterday my wife is pregnant! :) she took 3 at home pregnancy tests. All positive.

We are both so excited. It wasn't part of the plan, but it's a blessing all the same.

She just did the bloodwork this morning and it came out positive. The only thing she is worried about is when she actually got pregnant.

Her last period was near the end of Feb. The last time she drank alcohol was Tuesday night. She had been drinking on and off. She's worried about that. She never got totally drunk. Just a couple of glasses of wine here and there.

Her main concern was on her bachelorette party. That night she did get pretty trashed. Her friends kept buying her shots. This was on the 25th of March.

Is the baby safe? She definitely won't drink anymore, but she's worried what she did drink before she knew she was pregnant might harm the baby? Any advice is appreciated.

Last period - end of feb.

Bachelorette party - march 25

wedding - march 27

honeymoon - march 29-April 2

last alcoholic beverage - April 6

pregnancy test positive - April 8

what are the chances the baby is harmed?

sweetspicy agony auntNo your baby will be fine, infact some woman dont even know that they are pregnant until 3-4 months into the pregnancy, so they go about everything they normally do untill they find out. Your wife needs to stop drinking if she were to continue it can cause damage to your baby. I've heard that it's still okay to have 3-5 glasses of wine through out her pregnacy (not all at once) wine is suposed too be good for the heart. Good luck in parenting to you.
