writes:I'm 16 and one of my best friends says he's gay. however, he sometimes treats me in ways which make me wonder if he is just saying he's gay in order to get closer to girls. the other day he bought me some expensive jewelry which he said was from his boyfriend (who i've never met - and who i have no proof he actually exists)and i can't help but wonder what he expects in return? how should i treat him as he is becomming increasingly forward with me and asking me things such as 'if he was straight would i go out with him' (to which i firmly said no as he's NOT my type)?also i like another guy who thinks of me as a friend and will never like me as more - whats wrong with me!

 Hmmm. I actually have a friend who used that kind of approach to this girl he really liked. It turned out fine though since the girl liked him back even though she first thought he was gay. LoL. Are you certain that you dont like him? if you dont, tell him straight. If you do, tell him "let's try 'this' out". I guess it really is weird for him tah buy you expensive stuff though. Also ask him if he is indeed gay, why is he asking if you'd go out with him if he was straight? I think it's the part of him wondering that if you said YES (which you did not. lol) then he'd come out to you and say that he is in fact straight and he's sorry and he just likes you very much blah blah blah. And try to win you. Haha. i agree with straightshadow in saying that homosexuals are in fact a little confused. I mean, there will always be a tiny mix up and all. **On my end, i thought i was gay, turns out im bi. LoL

 I know this doesnt help but i have a friend who i liked alot then one day we just kissed messing around. i built up feelings for him then few weeks later he told me he was gay lol Was pretty funny actually looking back. He asked me to pretend to be his girlfriend at the time so his family wouldnt find out.I see him now n he has a boy friend living together although he is a straight acting gay and he has a really harsh sense of humour that people often dislike him for but he is always really nice to me...but like too nice.. it often makes me wonder..its a lil crazy lolI think most people who are gay/lesbion are confused with there sexuality slightly.Not all though,but alot of younger people are. I thought i was straight, turns out im bi lol
