writes:My cousins came down from Ohio. And they were staying with my aunt. So my sister and I stayed with my cousins got about a week. Akward things happened between me and my cousin. (the one who is a boy). We are second cousins too. He would put his head on my shoulder. Then drink my pop. But that seems normal. He would hug me for no reason and when I hug him he would hav a boner. Then we were playing musical chairs and we were fighting over the chair and I sat on him and something touched me. He pushed me off then ran inside. Then we were at the movies and he kept hugging me like boyfriend and girlfriend stuff. And I heard these people say awe they are the cutest couple. Then in the car I sat on him becuase there wasn't enough room and something touched me again so he pushed me a little forward. Then I turned around and he was bright red. Then I took his phone and read one of his text messages and it said "dude! I had a boner when my cousin sat on me!!" I was freaking out! Also do bra straps turn guys on? My friend was wondering.

reader, anonymous, writes (14 July 2010): Well its a bit weird that its your cousin and all, but your not doing anything wrong atall, try not to be so close to him and if he does anything bad then tell him no, its wrong and that your cousins, I dont know how close you are but try keep more distance if it keeps happening until he gets the message.  It sounds like he is attracted to you. It's normal. It doesn't sound like he's acting on it or wanting to have a relationship with you. It's just his hormones. I'd ignore it. But I'd also suggest not teasing him if you can by sitting on his lap or hugging him. These are things that will trigger an erection.

 You didn't do anything wrong if you weren't trying to do that. Basically, young boys get hard really easily. He was the one acting awfully weird with all the touching. He likely finds you attractive, and isn't sure which boundries are ok to cross.
You would not be out of line to tell him to back off. I would avoid sitting on his lap or really anything other than the hug goodbye in the future.
Bra straps? Not really, but there are lots of things out there that can turn people on.
