A male United Kingdom age 30-35, anonymous writes:

hi guys im i a real mess and im sorry if i ramble on but please help.

i'll start off with my mum and dad are splitting up and it only just hit me yesturday when my mum phoned me at mny friends party. i have been down about it all day today.

right ive liked this girl since september but it has been stronger over last 3/4 months. i think i was in love with her but i knew nothing could happen cause she's my friends gf.

me and her get along great we never have a silent patch in a conversation and we like a lot of similar things. she has shown signs of liking me in the past but as i said i didn't look into it no matter how much i liked/loved her.

her bf is on holiday for two weeks. we both went to the party yesturday and i was outside after i spoke to my mum and her and her friend came out and started talking they didn't know i was there so she told her friend that she doesn't miss her bf even though she keeps posting on facebook that she does unless she doesn't want people to think things are rocky.

we both had a great time at the party and we hugged quite a few times and everytime i looked at her and she looked back i saw something but don't know. we text and chat online all the time she always starts off the convo and she used to put one x at the end of every message this morning she put xxx and then xx after what is she telling me.

she has really supported me with my parents splitting and she was really comforting last night after my mum phoned me. also i said something last night that a girls personality makes them more attractive and she looked at me and went "aww thats so sweet" and smiled at me.

her relationship has been rocky and they have split up a few times but have got back together. i have a strong feeling if she breaks up with him when he comes home it is cause she has feelings for me. i'm not going to do anything while she is with my friend and she wouldn't do anything either cause she used to date someone who cheated on her.

we're going to talk tonight like we usually do on facebook.

what should i do? should i ask her why she doesn't miss him? does she have feelings for me? should i tell her i like her just that? what?

please help

I don't think you should say anything if/until she breaks up with him. And when/if she does then you can talk to her about it and support her through her breakup. Then the subject might be brought up of whether or not she likes you more than a friend. But you have to keep in mind that its your friends girl, even if they breakup thats dangerous territory. But the way I look at things is that you can't help the way you feel. Say that she does like you and she breaks up with her BF, you guys should wait awhile before you start any kind of a relationship.
