 Sounds fairly normal to me. As willywombat said there is an increased flow of blood to this area when you are aroused, some women just show more affects than others.
As long as there are no other symptoms then there is nothing to worry about.

 This is normal, as long as there are no other symptoms to go with it. If there is no itching or pain or discharge you have nothing to worry about.
The increased blood flow to the area when aroused can make the entire area flush redder and swell. Really stop worrying.

 Well i'd recommend seeing the doctor again. I know it may be tough to do.. and would problaly have your boyfriend go to a doctor as well to get tested for std's just for good measure since you have said you've had unprotected sex which problaly wasn't the first time. Don't be too embarrased about seeing you doctor.... it'll be more embarrassing to let this go on and case worse problems.
