palmers coco butter fades them to a whitish mark instead of a red mark but you have to use it consistently over time to get a result. bio oil also works but is more expensive.

stretch marks are nothing to be ashamed of though the majority of women have them from either growing during puberty or pregnancy.

LilPixie agony auntThere are some creams that can help them fade a little but you can't ever get rid of stretch marks completely. Once they're there they'll always be there but they'll fade over time and won't be as visible.

I know they can be embarrassing but honestly most girls have them and it's nothing to be ashamed of.

A reader, anonymous, writes (12 July 2010):

Vitamin E oil helps a lot....or you can google stretch marks and solutions and see what you can find. Ask the pharmacist also, women who have had babies often use things to help with their stretch marks...nothing will take them away completely but there are things that will help. Also a tan will help the looks of them. lol mal
