My mate told me negative things about the guy I'm attracted to. If she's lying, as she likes him too, is she worth having as a friend?

i'm am really attracted to this guy, and have been for a long time but because of the age difference nothing could ever happen between us, my best mate ever told me loads of negative things about him that she had heard but i recently found out that she likes him aswell so could everything she told me be complete lies because she likes him if so is she really worth having as a friend?

Escalaya agony auntEverything could possibly be complete lies, but it could be true. It comes down to, do you trust your friend? She could be trying to get him for herself, but don't react, unless you know the truth. Talk to her, ask her about it, see if you hear those rumors from anyone else that knows him, or knows of him.

tinkerbell01 agony aunthi, age has nothing to do with it, i was with my ex partner for 7yrs and there was an age diffrence of 13years, and our breck up had nothing to do with our age differance and i am 6 years older than my new partner and we been together nearly a years and are very happy together..

as for your friend, just ignore her if she is a true friend she will still be there if u do get with him.
