My girlfriend has become very insecure since she became pregnant

A male Canada age 26-29, *ustinlee writes:

My gf is 15 weeks. It was not planned and we were both shocked in the beginning but after a few weeks we were ok with it. We have decided to keep the baby we know that our lives with change but its just what we wanted.

Everyone in her school knows yet she still tried to physically hide it, she'll talk to people about it and is fine with that but is always hiding or covering her belly.

Unfortunately I am three hour away from her, I'm in college and she is in her senior year of high school. She has never once questioned me or our relationship in the past yet the past month she has been. She is really insecure and regardless of how often I tell her I'm not going anywhere she doubts me.

Is there any way I can show her that I'm not going to bail on her or this baby? And how can I get her to relax and trust me?

My year ends in April and I will move back home until September. Unfortunately there isn't any place that offers my classes closer to home. She will be staying at home with my parents so my mom can help with the baby so she can go to school there.

She can take the first year of her college classes at a community college that is close to our home snd my mom works from home and has offered to help

A female reader, anonymous, writes (15 December 2014):

You cannot make her less insecure. She is the one who has to work on that. All you can do is keep showing her by your actions that you are committed and going to be there for her & the baby. She is probably feeling very unattractive and that is why she is covering up and questioning your relationship. I hope she can get past it, maybe ask her to talk with a counselor to help.

After she is out of school can you figure out a living situation where she will be closer to you or you to her?
