writes:my GF and i been together a few years but she is back in contact with her ex partner who she was with a long time also and lost touch with but are now friends and in touch again. they talk on the phone now and again and meet up. i havent said anything but i dont like this. do u think its alright to be friends with an ex or not? we both females by the way.

 I completely understand why you don't like this, they shared a past therefore am sure that it makes you feel uneasy. I think you should talk to her and tell her how you feel. Doing that is not unreasonable as I am sure she would feel the same if it was between you and your ex. They are an ex for a reason and should be left in the past. It is okay saying you will be friends with an ex but when there is history there and old feelings then it wont work. Sit down and talk to her and tell her how you feel. Being honest is the best way.
