A male reader, Jason means Healer United Kingdom +, writes (23 March 2009):

Sometimes people lie to get an advantage.

Other times to cover up for a lack of something.

Girls mature quicker than boys anyhows so she might be making a compensation.

But, she is still a minor so she needs to be completely away from any opportunity where this guy could make the moves on her, else he'll feel so embarassed and rightfully angry when he finds out the truth.

Tell her not to let it go any further because she'll destroy the poor fella and do herself no good.

Sometimes the law turns a blind eye where the girl is slightly under and the guy slightly over but she's pushing the limit at 14 batting her eyes at an 18 yr. old.

So, split the difference.

1st. Wait until she is more closerer to 16.

Then, find someone also closerer.

Strictly speaking I should completely advice against any under age sex. But in the event that folks are gonna, then it is as well to not push the law too far.

Most probably she is edging closer to that time and an 18 yr. old is more likely to be able to give her what she wants than somebody closer to her age.

But try and encourage her to wait a little while longer and find someone closer to her own age and tell them ALL the truth...

A female reader, HollyHeartbreak United Kingdom +, writes (23 March 2009):

HollyHeartbreak agony auntShe maybe wanted to lie about her age because she wanted a more 'mature' relationship with an older guy and is afraid if she tells him her real age he won't take her seriously.

But just explain to your friend that she should tell him the truth and if he doesn't take to it well screw him there's plenty of other guys out there.

I hope you get it sorted out with her soon sweetie!
