writes:My friend dated a pedophile and she knows this. as he was sleeping with several young girls at the same time. And now she won't put him in jail but she is the only one with evidence. She finds the concept of trapping someone she once cared about in jail very daunting, which I can understand. However my sister was raped, by a man like him. I need to make her see that she is the only one who can report him and it is the right thing to do as he is a danger to the girls in our society! He is violent towards woman, including my friend. And he has forced sex on her before. Put those things together and what have you got? Violent rape. It is clear what this man is capable of. How can I convince her to go forward? Also I have got his number and starting texting him pretending to be a young girl so that if my friend bottles out I have at least something, he has said enough for ME to report him although not nearly as badly as he deserves. Am I a bad person for doing this? And should I go forward on her behalf and for the things he has been texting "me"?Someone please help me, I really need her to go forward. My sister sexual abuser got away, I can't let this one get away too.Thank you.

If for any reason they see that she does have any type of evidence they can get a search warrant. I know this sounds harsh to do to your friend, but do you want this to happen to other innocent kids? They didn't do anything wrong. This man did and it sounds like your friend is just being a bit selfish.

you report him. just pick up the phone and report him now. don't think any more about it.
don't worry that you don't have all the evidence and facts. no one gets into trouble for reporting a crime they truly believe is happening. It is not your duty to provide all the evidence- the police will do that.
the longer you wait, the longer this bastard is out there harming girls!!

You can go report him to the police and they will set a trap for him.
Don't put your life on the line.
Good luck.

It sounds like if you want any sort of action taken against him, you are going to have to do it yourself.
Unfortunately your friend, for whatever reason, can't see how dangerous a situation she is in.
If this man's not caught and put a stop to, who will be his next rape victim? I'm sorry to hear what happened to your sister, but let the anger you feel about that help you push to see this man prosecuted.
Your friend will be angry - but it's either that or he rapes some other poor underage girl sometime soon...
