i am 18 and have been in a relationship for the past 12 months. I lost my virginity to my boyfriend around 7 months ago which was really painful. I still however still cannot have sex without bein in immense pain. This is now becoming an issue in our relationship as we both really want that side of a relationship aswell. When we have tried he has ended up tearing me a number of times and others have always been very painful. Please could you give me any suggestions on what to do, i do not want this to spoil the relationship we have as i love my boyfriend very much, please help!! thanks x

im pretty sure this could be either that you are stressing about it so much that you cant relax, and that anticipating the pain is making you tigten even more. try some lubricant maybe this will help you. but if you think its deeper then this i would go to the doctors and they will be able to tell you whether it is emotional or a physical problem.

leanne.od agony auntmy advice would be to go to the doctors, sometimes it just takes practice to loosen up the cirvix but on occasions it could be that you have either a really tight cirvix, causing pain becuase the penis won't fit, or you may have an infection of some kind, but i am not a doctor, so to prevent prolonged worry, i'd see your GP and explain it, if you'd be more comfortable ask to see a women doctor, it'll give you peace of mind and hopefully resolve the problem.
