 I've had problems exactly the same as this before and now i still get nervous but don't go red.
Its just nerves. Find a way to deal with your nerves like taking a deep breath or if your friends are near keep talking to your friends and try to forget that he is near. Even thinking about something else other than him can help with it. Don't worry hopefully the redness will pass.
