At first i thought he was crazy! but i thought about that and i got to the conclusion that it really isnt a bad idea. A male reader, anonymous, writes (12 August 2007):

Frankly I can't see the need for a bodyguard, you're in Australia, not Iraq, Afghanistan or Dili. If there was any serious security threat to you the Aust Federal Police or the Intel/Military Police would insist on all members of your family having a bodyguard. It wouldn't come from your father.

Jamer70 agony auntI agree wuth skye here.

Though im not sure how high generals are high up in the army ranks they can be important and sometimes do need certain protective precautions for them and there families.

If you dont care i see no problem with it

skye agony auntSounds to me like you have answered your own question here. If your dad and army officials thinks it is a good idea and you dont mind too much, then why not?

many people who work in a similar position to your dad have all sorts of security devices on their homes so why not on their most precious possession....YOU?

I agree that it will seem a bit weird at first but you will soon get used to it and not even notice. Ask your dad if it would be possible to have a female if you would find this more acceptable. You never know, he might agree.

Best wishes,

Skye
