My crush used to sit next to me and flirt. Now that we've changed seats he ignores me! Why do boys act like this?

A female United States age 26-29, anonymous writes:

So my crush, "Bob," and I used to sit next to each other in a class. We used to talk and he teased me (in a nice way) and we would laugh and he would kind of flirt. We changed seats and now he totally ignores me. He doesn't look at me or talk to me. Once, when we were alone he got freaked out and ran away. Can someone please explain what his signals mean? Boys are so confusing!

Sad, this happened to me too. Have you tried talking to him again, like when you aren't alone? I guess that it is just their nature considering the EXCACT same thing happened to me. He's probably just protecting his feelings (the whole running away thing).

Illithid agony auntYou have a crush on him, and he was friendly with you. Did he actually flirt or just make small talk? And if he did flirt, did you potentially give him the idea that you weren't interested.

Either he wasn't really that interested to begin with, or he thinks it's hopeless because you felt like you didn't want him (too shy) so he gave up. If you still want him, make a point of going up to him and talk to him and ask him to do something with you after school.

FluffyPie agony auntNo, he's not confusing, you're reading too much into it.

He was probably socializing with the nearest person, right ? See what he acts like now that you've changed seats. Does he flirt / talk/ laugh with the closest person to him ?
