reader, anonymous, writes (2 November 2014): maybe u could ask if he wants to go for a leaving drink ask him at the end of the working day then go by his reaction if its an instant no then back off and just wish him well and say ull be sad to see him go thats a hint to him u will miss him or on the last day u could ask him out for a drink or give him ur number and say it would be great to go out sometime and if he wants to he has your number. if ur confident to ask him straight out then go for it if he says no then say no worries that way it wont look embarrassing for u both
