My boyfriend loves his computer more than me

Question - (30 June 2012) 1 Answers - (Newest, 1 July 2012)
A female United States age 30-35, anonymous writes:

My boyfriend and I are avid gamers. We play online all the time and are constantly having conversations with everyone but each other. A habit I've been trying to break with a good walk everyday and outings to get away from our online friends.

He doesn't understand that I'm not pulling him away from his job, I'm trying to find something to talk to him about because the only person that really gets me is my friend online now. Who is unfourtuntely a male with a killer voice and a wonderful understanding of me.

We talk for hours daily. It's great. I feel like I finally have a support system.

My boyfriend should be that support system, but Its impossible to get him to choose me over the computer. Maybe if I was liquid cooled with x amount of ram and processing speed.

I love him, but I really need someone to talk me down from getting a ticket to the west coast. Or taking a bat to his computer that he bought with the engagement ring money he was savIng.

A female reader, aunt honesty Ireland +, writes (1 July 2012):

aunt honesty agony auntYou need to talk to him and tell him everything. Tell him exactly how you are feeling and also about this friend you are getting close to. Come to some sort of agreement where you both spend quality time together away from the computer. You need to just open up and talk to him, tell him if things do not change you feel this relationship will not work.
