This is natural in some guys, its called premature ejaculation (I think!).
He simply needs to learn to 'keep it in' rather than ejaculating sooner than preffered. This will take some time for him to master and i guess after you two having a sex a few more times, hell pick up a method of holding it in longer.
As for him able to hold back longer when drunk/after drinking, i havnt got a proper explanation to that but my theory is that his mind is in a slightly 'slower state'. By that i mean, you know when you've had a few drinks, your reactions begin to slow down, i think this is the same when having sex. If ive got the wrong answer to that, please can someone correct me!!

reader, anonymous, writes (17 March 2008): simple he needs to train himself. my hubby had the same problem so every time he was about to cum he would stop for a bit then start again after about a month of doing this it became longer and he doesnt have to stop. not sure if this works for all men but it worked for us
