Hi all. This is my first question so I hope it's good. See, about two months ago, this girl and I (who have known each other all our lives) confessed our love for each other at the exact same time. We have a great relationship and have never disagreed. Now, for some reason, and I don't know why, but other people do not accept our love at all. Most people who loved us now totally resent us solely because we are together. As it stands, marriage is not possible yet due to our age. (we are only 17) We must wait until at least next year. Beyond a shadow of a doubt, we love each other. We just wish that people would accept our love. What should we do?

PsyCookie agony auntmasterofdestiny, I know that the annonymous comment is just thoughtless and airheaded, but my guess here is that he's surprised by the "luck" you had here.

The poster is only thinking of the money you got and how you can solve more problems than anyone else here. He also may be incredulous of the fact that you have gotten easy money, regardless of the pain you had with both your parent's deaths and your problems around your family with your situation. I was expecting for someone to "disagree" your situation, but really not like this.

I know that although by this time you may have gotten over this type of comment, you have to remind that this is just an anonymous person, as how it says as his username, who both doesn't really know you or try to solve your problem.

Well, I hope that you're doing good and I wish you for good things to happen.

masterofdestiny999 agony auntThis is to the male reader that posted anonymous. Believe it or not, this is a true event that has occured and is occuring. I did not ASK if you believed it or not. I'm telling you how it is. I came here to hear what ADVICE people had to give, not saying that you don't believe me. I only hid the facts in the ORIGINAL posting for a certain purpose. And our parents DID die. and We DID inherit their fortune, which includes our home. But I personally made my own money to add to that fortune. By winning tournaments. That's how I did it. And how DARE you suggest that I would add an untruthful part of the story. Our parents were NOT twins you stereotypical person. Now you have angered me. And that sir, is not a good thing. Good day to you.

I have a hard time believing this. You were going along fine until you got to the point about your parents dying and leaving you two a fortune. Next you're gonna try to tell us that your parents are twin siblings...this is ridiculous!

A female reader, PsyCookie United States +, writes (22 July 2008):

PsyCookie agony auntLove is indeed found in the weirdest places.

Now I realize why you say your love will not be accepted. I found this shoking too as MANY would, but I try to accept it as much as I can. I won't preach you on how "bad it is to do it with your sister" because you well know the consequences and everything along with it. You don't need to hear mor of it.

It will be hard for you for people to accept the two of you, but you have an advantage that many don't: access of money. You will not find acceptance where you live since people know you, but you could find it somewhere else. To make people less suspicious of your status with her, change your last name. Also since you're twins, try to change your looks more. Try to do a lot to make yourself look a bit different. Move to another place where people will not know the two you. Move to another country if you can.

Do this if you really love her. The most important thing in the world is love and if you truely feel this way then don't let anything else get in the way to get some happiness. Keep your blood relationship a secret because if it gets out, well you know what would happen.

Now I'm sure many would disagree with me, and I'll be honest with you, actually feel some kind of weirdness on telling you this, but I do believe that you love her and this is what keeps me on thinking you should work this out.

Good luck and I hope whatever you do will be for the best.

masterofdestiny999 agony auntYeah it's me. Obviously you can tell from the yelow border. I thank you for all your help, but I guess it's time I came clean about a few details in this question. See, I actually DO know the reason our love is not accepted. It is also another reason we cannot get married. I have known her all my life. We are so compatable together because...she is my only twin sister. See, our parents died earlier this year. But we got their fortune. Plus the money I had from my tournaments. So I was able to take care of her due to the fact that I had enough monetary support for us both. The day we confessed our love to each other, we had sex for the first time. Where we are from, however, this is not illegal whatsoever. So...I hereby apologize for not being completley honest at the time of this posting.

A female reader, PsyCookie United States +, writes (18 July 2008):

PsyCookie agony auntOh my, me and my boyfriend were in a similar situation.

A lot of people didn't like me being with my boyfriend. I never found out the reasons, but I think it was mostly jealousy.

We never gave in into those people's comments. The only thing that mattered is that we were together and that we were in love with each other.

Eventually, those people started seeing that and started accepting us more. We even got some admirers who thought that we were one of the strongest couple out there.

So like the people in here said, you shouldn't care of what this people say about your relationship with your girlfriend. You know you love each other, no, you know you're IN love with each other, so the world out there shouldn't matter. If the thing that happened to me is a trend, then the people who don't aprove to your relationship eventually will because they will see that you feel strongly for each other.

Good luck and I hope you have a happy relationship!
