 Hmm I had no sex for like forever before and I even thought I will never have it in my life. But later, I somehow longed for it and tried other ways to feel satisfied sexually.
Then I met my bf and it wasn't that great at first. We'd do it about twice a week then it became 3 times a month. We broke up after 2 yrs and I didn't have sex for 8 months. Fortunately, about 2 months after the break-up, i didn't miss the sex. I have chances before to have fun or have one night stands but I just can't bear touching someone I just met.
Then I met my now current bf. As of today, one week is the longest that I don't have sex. I went for vacation twice before and it took 1 month each I didn't have it..but then I don't miss it. So I can't totally say that "i didn't have sex" is because it becomes nonexistent to me at all when I am not with anyone.
I just miss the sex when my bf is beside me. Otherwise, I don't go looking for it. He is the reason why I like sex.

 Well the first 19 years of my life I didn't have sex. Then I met my first love and we were together for 4 1/2 year. After we broke up I didn't date or have sex for a year, dated a "rebound" broke up, was someone rebound- broke up and didn't date/have sex for 3 years and 8 months . Met my now husband. Since we have been married he has deployed 3 times, so I have gone with out sex for 11 months, 6 months (got R&R on second tour) and 9 months.
I don't really find it hard to be without, even if I DO enjoy it.
Honestly life is a lot less complicated when sex isn't involved.

Since the age of 21, the longest I've gone without sex is 3 or 4 months. I guess I'm the serial relationship type, as I don't do one night stands or casual sex. If I did, the largest gap between partners would be smaller.
