Question - (17 April 2011) 5 Answers - (Newest, 17 April 2011)
A male United Kingdom age 36-40, anonymous writes:

I am a 27 year old virgin

I do watch porn quite a bit too. What I have noticed is that when I masturbate, it takes a few strokes/seconds before I climax, and it is possible for me to do this 4/5 times an hour.

Is this normal?

If I ever have sex, I am scared that I will be premature...

Will a condom change that?

I am scared that if my girlfriend touches my penis that what I oulined above will happen... :/

Anyway any advice is much appreciated, it does concern me :(

You should be cutting back on masterbation and practicing holding your orgasms. It's a muscle that you need to work and if you don't and just keep ejaculating, you'll always cum too soon.

Well brother, I think if your GF has a high sex drive then you two need to get it crackin'. If she does have a high sex drive then you should two should fit like one of them round pegs (no pun intended, AHEM!).... No seriously dude, I don't thik it is common to be able to do that 4-5 times an hour but hey, I really think you should enjoy it.

Now, a condom might take the edge of, which, would probably be a good thing in this case. However, if you are 27 and a virgin then having sex would probably be a different stimulation. You may not climax too quickly or you might even have to get used to it. Then again, you might have "runaway gun" on your hands....

Relax with it. I think it's all good bro.

A female reader, Nime United States +, writes (17 April 2011):

Nime agony auntMore and more they're finding there is not a whole lot one can do for PE. Unless it is caused by anxiety or self-conditioning (see below), PE is a genetic trait that in most cases can not be overcome. The truth is you either have it or you don't. The success of certain therapeutic methods in overcoming PE is largely exaggerated. There are however some exercises you can perform such as kegels and the stop and go method that can help you to learn when to pause during intercourse so that you can then go again for a bit longer. If you're with the kind of woman who "loses her mood" when her man has to break during intercourse, this is obviously not ideal.

Of course, regardless of whether your PE is genetic, your porn watching habits are not helping. What you are doing is training yourself to cum as quickly as possible (self-conditioning). This training can be difficult to reverse and may affect your performance in the bedroom. When having intercourse with a woman, you may be self-consciously urging yourself to orgasm as quickly as possible because that's how you've always masturbated. You will need to become less goal-oriented (focused on your orgasm) when it comes to sex if you want to have longer intercourse with a woman.

You should try and test yourself to see how long you can masturbate before ejaculation. Of course, you can't really know whether you have PE until you try to have sex, but you should learn to recognize when you are approaching orgasm and, if you can, try to mentally stave it off. Men who do not have PE report that they are mentally in control of their orgasm the entire time; they can will it not to come. Men who do have PE find they often can not recognize (or mistake) the signs of being on the precipice of orgasm and they have no mental control over it. See which category you fall into and do some reading!

Yes, it's very likely that at the first touch of a woman's hand you will be all over and out of ammunition.....
