writes:I've been with my boyfriend 5 and a half years. we used to give each other hickeys when we were young, as we grew older, I hate getting them and I've told him not. but recently he made 3 huge mark on my neck when we were making out. i got so mad at him when i saw but he think its nothing, it's not a big deal and he think I'm just being ridiculous. he also got pissed at me that i got angry at him for something so small. do you think i was over reacted? please help?  If you've told him previously that you hate hickeys and he didn't listen to you and gave you one anyway, then you technically didn't overreact.
A lot of people see hickeys as being harmless, but if it really bothers you then you need to let him know it's not okay - and you've already done that. So I would suggest that getting a bit shitty with him is justifiable, because he didn't listen in the first place.
