I've recently turned 17 and find that my life seems to have come to a standstill, I find it difficult to meet new people anyway but however my small number of mates seem quite content being with each other. I would like to go further afield and meet new people... a lady friend would be nice. I'm just not sure how to go about it. My confidence is relativly low and I'm just generally a shy person so I could find this hard. My last relationship wasn't so great, well it ended badly a year ago and I've been very hesitant getting back in and I'm worried I'll make a fool of myself. As I say I'm 17 and from Bristol, so any ideas please? =[

sexi agony auntHi, There are plenty of people out that would love to make new friends. Try and build your confidence to meet new people. Try going to places that have lots of people, coffee shops, the malls etc. The only way you can make friends is if you put your shyness behind you. You need to work your way through doing that because before you know it it would be controlling your life. You can start by mailing me, i would be more than glad to be your first new friend

Your life is what you make it. You jus have to find a way to boost your confidence, you should try talking to new people and as far as your last relationship, you shouldn't dwell on that because there are many many more people you will come across in your life.
