AusGuy agony auntI have to concur with "CindyCares". I am a nurse by trade.

The combination listed would totally plateau your sex drive to the lowest levels.

See your doctor.

Long term use of any sleeping agent is not a healthy life choice. You need to look into the underlying causes.

Are you stressed? Insomnia? Low/High blood pressure?

Any of the basic underlying conditions that require you to use sleeping pills will lower you sex drive.

Again. See your doctor.

Finally you need to ask yourself, and please note this may offend, do you actually want to be sexually active or do you just miss being so?

Loss of sex drive can be natural from time to time.

A female reader, CindyCares Italy +, writes (7 April 2014):

CindyCares agony aunt I don't know of a drug called kolopin, by if you by any chance meant klonopin it would make sense, it's a powerful benzodiazepine used for anxiety, insomnia, etc. and among its side effects has that of killing your sex drive ( and making orgasms impossible if you ever force yourself to have sex ).

Talk to your doctor , see if you can change medication or reduce the quantity. IF you are followed by a doctor. I've got the feeling you are doing a sort of do-it- yourself thing ?..Be careful , it's dangerous. If you are on benzos ( which I guess it's possible, they are often prescribed/used for anxiety and sleep disturbances ) well, 7 years is an incredibly long time, they are supposed to be used short term. Plus, they can have negative interactions with anthistaminics ( benadryl ).
