Question - (26 November 2007) 3 Answers - (Newest, 16 January 2008)
A female United Kingdom age 18-21, anonymous writes:

So theres this guy...who I really like, and when I say really like I mean it, I've fallen head over heels for him. We've been texting alot over the past month or so, and I saw him yesterday and we just walked around and talked, and I felt so relaxed around him, and I think he felt relaxed around me as well... I got butterflies everytime he touched me on the arm or something like that.

He is such a genuinely nice guy, he really cares, and is so kind. He's quite shy, which I find really cute, and I've never felt like this before..

I really want something to happen between us, how do I initiate something? How do I get a 'real' relationship going?

Any advice would be really appreciated...because I really like this guy and I've really fallen for him!

Thanks for taking the time to read this. :-)

It turns out he only likes me as a friend...

But anyway these things happen, and at least I've got a good friend in him, I'll have to get over him.

Samutsen agony auntHe is shy and so you are not sure whether he is able to take the first step. Alright you can give it a little push of course. Why not try it on the phone. May be you can talk about you and him together in plural as 'us' and emphasize it several times in passing. It is a good start point and certainly better than straightforward I like you, I love you stuff.
