I've dumped my boyfriend once before and regreted it. I don't want to make the same mistake again for a guy that comes off as a player.

A female United Kingdom age 30-35, anonymous writes:

I'm 14 and I had this friend for a while. We dated for a few weeks and I gave into peer pressure and dumped him. We became best friends but I regretted it everyday of my life for about 7 months, when we started dating again. We've been dating for 2 months now. The first month was great and fun. But this month I've been having my doubts. He flirts with his best friends, my cousins, girlfriend, who i absolutely hate. And he flirts a little with my best friend. Me and my cousin confronted him about it and he denied he was flirting. But when we all hung out together again. me, him, my cousin, and my best friend he didn't flirt with her. However he hasn't seen the other girl he always flirts with since. So I'm not sure if he just didn't flirt with her or if he stopped. But he never calls or answers any of my calls. And he still kinda of treats me like a best friend than a girlfriend.

And on top of all of that there's this other guy. We've known eachother for a while and I always thought he was cute and liked him a little. We started talking recently and in a matter of days he went from liking one of my best friends to another one of my best friends to me. He claims he barely liked them and has always liked me. He says the sweetest things and is so nice. We text like allday everyday. He helps me with my problems and I told him about my boyfriend. He says he's probably cheating on me and I need to dump him because he doesn't want me to get hurt.

I don't know wether my boyfriend is cheating, or just likes to treat me like a friend. It's not toally a friend. It's in between a boyfriend and best friend. And I don't know wether to pick the guy who comes off as a total player but is really sweet and nice and compliments me that I have a lot in common with and he cares about me or the guy I've been dating for 2 months that I've liked for about 10 months that treats me like a best friend more than a girlfriend and never calls or does anything a boyfriend should do. And I'm scared that if I dump my boyfriend again I'd regret it again or it could ruin our friendship.. What should I do?

I think he is playing games with you.

I would be so happy to see my gf calls me. Yes, she rarely call me. I rarely missed her call, if I do, I will call back.

He don't even callback. You deserve someone better than him.

A female reader, hanmasali United States +, writes (31 July 2008):

I think that you should dump the guy that you are dating now. Be sure to let him know that you still want to remain friends. If you do this however, do not jump straight to the other guy's arms. Give it a couple of weeks to heal on your current boyfriend or else he will become majorly jealous of the other guy. For now stay friends with both of them, and see where this new relationship may lead you. It might turn out that this other guy is not your man to be, so hang out with him a bit before you start dating.
