A female United States age 30-35, anonymous writes:

Hi.I've been living in Arizonia for pretty much this whole summer with my dad. I live in Texas with my mom during the school year though and go to school their. This summer I've started dating this guy and we're pretty close, but i havn't got to spend much time with him because I've been in Arizonia. My "bestfriend" and my boyfriend have been hanging out all summer long, together, by themselves. I don't think my bestfriend would ever do anything with him considering she has a boyfriend. My bestfriend and boyfriend even watch spongebob together (ya we watch spongebob still) and go to the races together, the races were with a few other people, but still. I was just talking to my boyfriend on facebook and he told me my bestfriend, and some other people have just come over, and i said "oh sweet lol" and then he stopped talking to me on facebook. My bestfriend tells me he likes me a lot and my boyfriend does too. I just don't know. Is it okay for them to spend so much time together sometimes a lone? I havn't told either of them it bothers me and I don't really want to. It does upset me though. Do you think they like eachother? Or what should I do?

romany agony auntNo one can say yes, and if they do, they are just putting onto you their cynical views of male/female friendships, or going from their own, or someone they knows, unfortunate experiences.

They are not hiding what they are doing, and I know I could spend time with my friends fella's and not have the slightest bit of interest in having a relationship with them.

It could be that they both care about you and they're both missing you and finding comfort that they know how the other feels.

However, when you get home, if it feels like your being left out in the cold by them, then talk to her boyfriend, and then maybe the 4 of you can get together and talk to them, and find out just what is going on, and how they truely feel for each other, but at the moment, i dont think you need to worry.
