writes:I was with my ex for 1 year. Our relationship was tough, as she was restricted, she was a very busy person and sometimes her parents wouldnt let her do things with me such as stay the night. Or go on holiday even though she is 18. Im the opposite, im very unbusy an have all the time in the world, I only saw her twice a week, because of her busy-ness. I have many close female friends but there was one who i was especially close to. My ex (girlfriend)at the time. thought that me an this girl had feelings for each other even though i said i didnt. I dont think she ever really believed me and she always used to get upset or annoyed if this girl cropped up in conversation. I see this girl everyday an my ex i only saw twice a week. One day my ex came round an said that we no longer worked, an she broke up with me. an no matter what i said she wouldnt change her mind. she said that i should be breaking up with her an that i deserve someone who can see me everday.she also said that she liked me but she didnt say she loved me. even though like a week before she said she did an she was also talking about our future together.even though she dumped me 2 weeks later.I texted her the next day an she said she wasnt going to change her mind, but she did say that she doesnt not love me, but that the relationship was too hard. she also said that she felt guilty all the time because she didnt get to see me. she has said she wants to be friends but it will take time. but she wont talk 2 me or meet up or anything. Has she broken up with me because she is scared of me an this other girl aswell as feeling guilty? also why wont she talk 2 me?

 Its fairly normal not to want to talk to an ex right away after a break up. I think its wise of her. As for the reasons for the split, maybe it has something to do with that other girl, maybe she just thinks the two of you are too different. Either way, once someone breaks up with you, there isn't much you can do with dignity except move on, treat them with respect when you talk about them, and hope to rekindle a friendship later on, once the grief of losing the relationship subsides.

 She probably left because she felt she wasn't enougb for you. She cared for you enough to want you to find something better. She thought two days a week wasn't enough for you, especially with all the time you had on your hands. Maybe she thought you were unhappy. It could be that she thought you were interested in the other girl, that may have been the thing that made her think 2 days wasn't enough. If you want to get back with your ex then tell her that seeing the other girl was no reflection of what you wanted from the relationship, and the other girl was just the one who was there when your girlfriend couldn't be, and was just the company inbetween.
