Try what me and my girl do, do some foreplay before you get to giving him head, and let him touch because if sex is the only thing you two aren't doing than foreplay should be a great loop hole. also try using your tongue more, it can really get to us. to be perfectly honest i dont think this is the reason. if anything, the stress from the exams will make him ejaculate with more ease as he is getting "a load off his chest". perhaps your technique has become a bit tedious and predictable. maybe looking at some new videos of how to perform fallacio might help. by the sounds of it your relationship is a perfectly healthy, but maybe its missing a certain ingrediant. i highly doubt he is not ejaculating because he isnt excited with you, or else he wouldnt be with you. but i recommend you try and go the extra mile to please him and by making him ejaculate you're releasing all the exam stress, which would be healthy for both of you.
