Is this just a budding friendship or something more?

A female United States age 30-35, *inkbees09 writes:

He just came up to me and gave me a hug. He's been looking at me since before we started talking. He initiated the talking and we talked for the whole spring break online. He gave me his number and when I didn't text him he asked why and texted me. He came and visited me at work. He asks me for high fives all the time. We're in one class together and when I comment on something he'll turn to me and we'll stare at each other for like 4-5 seconds then he'll look away. He teases me and calls me names then turns and says I love you. He playfully hits me and I do it back. I've seen him numerous times looking in my direction or at me from across a room. And we've just met this past school year. Do you think this is just a budding friendship or something more? I do like him. We're both in high school, same grade.

Pinkbees09 agony auntI don't know if I'm bold enough to ask him that, not to mention he's been doing some sketchy stuff and been flirt hitting me a bit more lately so I'm kind of confused now.

ask him out. see if he wants to catch a bite to eat or go watch a movie. I know obvious stuff. but get him alone so there is more talk and flirting too. you can get to know him more and see if he's more than just a cute guy :)

it sounds like he has a crush on you and is making it very obvious.

I think he's thinking a little more than friends if he's playing cute with you.
