A female reader, TasteofIndia United States +, writes (24 February 2007):

TasteofIndia agony auntHey there,

Since you've been going out for five months, your boyfriend probably just assumes that he doesn't need to tell you these little things, because you know all of his friends, you know what he usually does, etc. I think he thinks you trust him and that he just doesn't need to check in with you anymore.

If you are feeling a little weird, like maybe he's cheating on you, simply ask him where's he's going or where's he's been. If he tells you straightup and doesn't seem weird about it, then there's nothing weird going on. However, if he get's defensive - i.e. "why do you need to know?", "what, I have to tell you everything?"... then maybe it's time to worry.

If it's just bugging you and you don't think he's actually cheating or anything, just let him know that you worry about him when he's out and ask him if he can just tell you where he's going in case anything should happen to him (or you).

Good luck, sweetness.
