Is this a sign that we are meant to be together?

A female United States age 26-29, anonymous writes:

I want to pray to God and ask him if he is the one, but I also know I cannot make anyone love me. He is my ex, but I believe he came back into my life recently for a reason. We took time apart (a whole year) to grow and we now have a stronger connection than ever. Recently, after telling me he had to move, I was in absolute devastation because he told me I needed to let go. After praying to God (literally on my hands and knees), asking him to somehow bring him back to me, the next day he decided he was not going to move and he came back. Is this a sign that we are meant to be together, or just a sign he is meant to be in my life? I want to marry him but I wish I knew God's plan now.

femmenoir agony auntSorry to be so brutal, however, i wouldn't advise you to bring the rubbish bag back into the house.

You guys, at one point in time, became ex's to each other and there was clearly a reason for that.

You've prayed so hard and suddenly he comes back into your life.

Well, this isn't necessarily because of God or a higher power/force, it's simply life, reality, perhaps even coincidence, but it doesn't mean it's all going to be perfect and amazing this time around.

Be really cautious and careful about what decision you make.

I wouldn't advise you to take him back, as you've both not worked well together before and he did ask you to let go of him.

Seriously, a man who's totally committed and in love will NEVER SAY, YOU NEED TO LET GO OF ME.

You weren't his number one priority from the beginning, so what makes you think that you would be now?

I don't mean to sound rude, however, is it possible that your self-esteem and your self-worth requires a bit of working on?

You know what?

You're worth much, much more than a kick to the curb and then back again.

You're no yo yo, nor are you a doormat, so show this guy that you're not available for him to play games with.

He was going to leave and now he's back, but don't let this trick you into thinking that he's back for you because he loves you and is going to commit to you.

This guy, he is totally confused about his feelings and he's definitely unsure about the two of you.

Do you want to be 2nd best to your love interest, or do you want to be 1st best?

If it's the latter, then let go, move on and find a more suitable guy. Somebody who's as invested in your relationship as you are and somebody who doesn't leave you questioning things, especially the state of your relationship.

Good luck.

aunt honesty agony auntGod has not sent him in to your life. If you want to marry him then you need to find out if he wants the same things as you. However if he is your ex then he is that for a reason and I hope he does not mess you around and give you false hope. He told you that you needed to let go, that does not sound like someone who wants to be your husband.

A reader, anonymous, writes (6 November 2017):

First off, God has nothing to do with this. Why would God not cure sick little children with cancer whose parents, family and friends may be praying for them, but listen to you and send your boyfriend back. That makes absolutely no sense.

I don't know whether or not you two are living together, but I would suggest you take your renewed relationship slowly. Date, do fun things together, get to know each other again and see if you really do have a lasting connection. Rely on yourself and your own good judgement to see if there is a lasting connection based on mutual respect and love.

BrownWolf agony auntHi OP,

First of all...GOD would never send you an ex boyfriend to marry. He has already shown you that he is the wrong guy, by making him your ex. However, you know who will send the wrong person back into your life.

Do not be fooled. If you were meant to be, you would still be together..

I know my answer is not what you want to hear, but do ignore my answer. LIFE will alwayd send you the same problem again, just to see if you learned anything from the first mistake.
