Is this a good idea to ask out a girl to homecoming?

Homecoming is just around the corner and I've been trying to figure out how I want to ask my girl. At my school you can simply just ask. It's got to be done is some special way. The girl I want to ask is a really good softball player and practices year round. I was thinking of showing up at the end of one of her practices with some flowers and a softball that has "homecoming?" Written on it. I was going to toss her the ball and give her the flowers after she said yes. Is this a good/cute idea? Would she like it?

chicks don't hate that stuff. You're in the mid-teen years so I'm assuming she is young as well. She's probably never experienced a guy flattering her. Even if she says no, she'll remember the gesture for many years to come. The flowers do sound a bit much, but the soft ball idea is a good start to doing it in a creative way.

I think it's touching and romantic... Maybe a big bouquet is too cheesy in your face... Thinking about it I would prefer the single flower like iamheretohelp said! And COMPLETELY agree do it somewhere where No/ little people can see...

Just because "people make fun of things when they're jealous or too stupid to understand- Jeremy Strong lol

Three women have told you to go for it! Good luck! ;) xx

TrancedRhythmEar agony auntWomen hate the soft sh## kid. No matter what they say. It creates affection not attraction thus turns them off. Dont put in any effort just ask her straight.

Aunty Babbit agony auntIf she's your girl and you know she's going to say yes then there it little risk of a knock back.

It sounds lovely, just be as romantic as you can, girls love that.

The flowers sound lovely and so does the softball theme (she can keep that too as a lovely reminder)

I hope you both have a great time. AB x
