Is there any point in waiting for her?

Question - (9 September 2008) 1 Answers - (Newest, 9 September 2008)
A male United States age 36-40, anonymous writes:

Okay, my ex broke up with me to get back with her ex because she said she was confused.

She broke up with him recently, but now she tells me that she still cares a lot about me, but she just needs time to be by herself.

Thing is, she still wants to talk to me.

Is there any point for me to wait and give her time to see if she might want to be with me again?

A female reader, Emilysanswers United Kingdom +, writes (9 September 2008):

I honestly wouldn't get your hopes up. If you hang on and carry on being her friend and being there for her then she is just going to stick with that because it's easier and you will get hurt.

If you continue to be her friend but try and move on then it's a win win situation. Either she realises she's running the risk of losing you and makes her mind up to get back with you, OR she doesn't but you are moving on anyway.

It will help her make her mind up faster if you start taking time away with your mates and start looking at other girls.

Good Luck!! xx
