 I thought if a man/woman lays with another man/woman you are gay. No two ppl can be of the same sex and have sex is what homosexuality is about. Now I hear you say having sex with your hand is equivalent to laying with another man/woman. Two ppl have to be present. You cannot count one person as two. It's like saying If you lay in a bed by yourself you are gay or walking down the street by yourself you are gay. No one wants to be alone but we live in a society where individuals can not impose their will on others. There are allot of ppl who would love to be in a relationship with the opposite sex but there is allot of interference in today's society. I call them Negative Liberties vs. Positive Liberties. Negative Liberties are from outside rules that we have to work around to attain our Positive Liberties which are goals we set for ourselves. Spiritually, morally and financially. I can go in a little deeper but I really want to know how can a man institute himself without being negative socially. I'm thinking of George Sodini the man who murdered 3 women in a gym. He tried his best to get counseling and create hobbies that would help him with his quest in dating women and spent 25yrs without any success. I myself am in that same boat having spent 18yrs and never married with no kids and no career. My admonishment is that ppl don't care and have no empathy for good men.

It's definately not a heterosexual act. i think people are in denial about this. homo means *same* so if you have a penis in your hand and you ejaculate how can you say it's not a homosexual act? it doesn't mean you are a homosexual though. and to say you aren't thinking about yourself doesn't matter. your thoughts don't change the fact you are stroking a penis or rubbing your vag. i agree that most people have masturbated at some point in their lives but that doesn't make any difference either. if you are a guy and you stroked your friends penis but were thinking of a woman would it mean it wasn't homosexual? of course not. so it is with having your own penis in your hand. now to the person that talked about touching yourself in any way..... i hope it's not sexual when you are taking a piss or cleaning yourself in the shower. or if you are getting a physical by a male doctor. just because he touches it or sticks his finger up your butt for a prostate exam doesn't mean it's sexual. so all that is completely different. but rubbing one out for *release* is sexual. it feels good, your stimulated, and you orgasm. it's okay, it doesn't mean you are a homosexual. but it's not a heterosexual act.

It takes self control to not do it. Many people Don't masturbate, they save it for their spouse...and it's hotter that way, and something to Really look forward to.

now, if you are looking in the mirror and think yourself to be quite a hotty, it might just be borderline homo-like...but not homosexual...that would have to include another being(a male one of course).

No offense, but this sounds like a question from 50 years ago. All guys masturbate, whatever their orientation. And when I say all guys, I include married men. I have been married 20 years and still masturbate from time to time, and I know at least a few of my married friends do too. Anyway masturbating is NOT going to affect your orientation one way or the other. However your orientation will affect the fantasies you have as you masturbate. So stroke away!

 I can't say that i have ever thought of masturbating as a homosexual act. The main reason being is that you are on your own doing it yourself. Masturbation is something that probably 99% of the population has done at some point in their lives, and so the answer to your question is no masturbation is not classed as a homosexual act.
