It is possible, yes. Any event that has a negative impact on you emotionally can cause this, even if it isn't something that is widely recognised. I had some symptoms of PTSD after a very traumatic house move, flashbacks and stuff...so if you are concerned, it is a good idea to seek help. Take care. x

Any event that compromises your emotional well-being can cause PTSD. Enduring physical, sexual, emotional, or other forms of abuse can definitely cause this disorder. Issues that may put people at a higher risk for developing PTSD include increased duration of a traumatic event, higher severity of the trauma experienced, having an emotional condition prior to the event, or having little social support in the form of family or friends. If you think you may be suffering from this disorder, talk to your doctor. He will be able to refer you to someone who can help. I am so sorry that you were in an abusive relationship, but I'm glad you were able to escape. Good luck to you! Take care!!

Yes it is most certainily possible. In fact, it is quite common. I was in an abusive relationship and suffered from it. You should see a doctor about it. Even if you arent suffering from it, going through any traumatic expeirence such as an abusive relationship will mean you require some support and by seeing a doctor they will be able to help you in the right direction. Please seek help and talk to someone about it.

Take care
