tennisstar88 agony auntHow often can I use Plan B One-Step™?

Plan B One-Step™ should only be used in emergencies, but there is no medical reason why you can't use it more than once. Don't be afraid to use Plan B One-Step™ when you need to, but remember that it should never replace routine methods of contraception, as it simply isn't as effective.

I can see making the mistake of having unprotected sex once, but 2 days in a row? Seriously? It would be a GREAT idea for you to get on an effective contraceptive and for your boyfriend to use condoms, since you're going to have sex regularly.

Start using condoms or stop having sex.

chigirl agony auntYou have to read the leaflet on the package the plan B comes with. The first pill does not protect you in any way from sex later on.

You need to decide what is more important to you: having random sex, or being PROTECTED. It's a choice you make. Do you really want to put yourself through this stress?

Make sure you get your boyfriend to buy you the plan B next time so he can see that his actions have consequences. Plan B is expensive, at least where I live, and it can be embarrassing to go and buy it. He should also read up on how to use it and why, as this is as much his fault as your own.

The pull out method doesn't work. Just so that's said. You're just as likely to get pregnant. It's playing russian roulette every time you have unprotected sex. And the plan B is NOT a contraceptive. Don't use it as one.

dmartin89 agony auntIt may not protect you the second time.

The best thing to do would be to see the pharmacist and take it again, although it will prob make you very nauseous, that is better than unwanted pregnancy.

I have an implanon, and its really great. Limited side effects and it lasts for 3 years. It is the most effective method of contraception apart from abstinance! Give your doctor a call and ask for more information.

A reader, anonymous, writes (1 March 2011):

Go to your doctor and ask. I do know that the morning after pill 'plan b' can really mess with your hormones if you take it too much, it can mess up your menstrual cycle as it's not meant to be a regular contraceptive and it's not as effective as the pill.

It's called emergency contraception for a reason. Don't take a second dose without consulting your physician. It can have really bad side effects.

not only can you end up pregnant you can catch a disease you need to go to your nearest family planning centre and go onthe pill or maybe the injection as this lasts longer and you dont need to think about taking this every day

Mark_25_ agony auntFirstly, if you learnt your lesson, why on earth did you have unprotected sex again?!

I can't be certain but I don't think it will protect you from the second time. The best thing for you to do is get down the Doctors as soon as possible - The longer you wait until taking that pill the less effective it is, so you need to talk this all through with a doctor today, otherwise you've got more chance of ending up pregnant.

Hope this helps :)
