 Of course, a husband shouldn't run around his wife's back with ANY woman, let alone HER best friend.
However, it was 21 years ago so there is NO way anyone can change that. It happened and it was wrong.
And while it IS old news, it's still NEWS to you and still hurtful.
So what do you want to do about it? 21 years later? Take it in? Talk it over with your husband/ friend and let it go? Or do you want the PAST actions of OTHERS to make you miserable? You didn't MAKE him go frolick in a hot-tub with another woman.
Why were you told this info and who told you? What was their motivation you think?

 Yes, they were out of order. No, they should not have behaved in this way.
Understandably, this has affected the way you see your whole marriage and your friendship, which is a shame as you have obviously been in both relationships for so long.
Have you spoken to your husband about this? He must surely have noticed you are sad.
Sending big HUGS as this has obviously upset you greatly. Such a shame you had to find out, but even bigger shame they felt it was ok to act in this way.
