your boyfriend's finger(s) could have scratched the vagina wall through repeated action using untrimmed finger nails. Ouch!
If this gets continued, you might get physical wound inside and bleed down there.
Using his tongue (with saliva) could be dangerous, too -
it can cause yeast infection.

Yes its normal to hurt after being fingered especially if it was the first you ever had any contact down there so you will be very tight and your boyfriend was probably a little rough but the pain will go away in a day or 2 but next time tell him to go easy and be gentle and you control the pace if you think you are lose or wet enough for him to go harder or faster then tell him but when it starts to hurt be sure to tell him

 Sounds to me like he was a little too rough. It will most probably take a couple of days to stop hurting. Tell him to be more gentle next time. Even if he does not go inside you with his fingers it might be a good idea for you to use lube, that way he won't be able to rub too hard against your clit or anywhere else....
