Is it normal for closed-mouth kisses to be wet?

Question - (8 June 2018) 1 Answers - (Newest, 8 June 2018)
A female United Kingdom age 36-40, anonymous writes:

My boyfriend's kisses or pecks on my lips leave my lips wet with his saliva, which I do not like. I sometimes wipe my lips after which he understandably gets offended by. I don't recall this happening with other guys, only him. He seems to purse his lips a lot when he goes in for a kiss and I can see the saliva between his lips, which gives me the ick. I feel bad for thinking this and I don't like kissing him sometimes because of this. When I'm in the mood, and we snog/ kiss with open moths I don't mind the saliva at all and I enjoy the kiss very much. It's just when he gives me a quick peck on the lips and he leaves me with wet lips, which I get the urge to wipe off immediately because I don't like wet lips!

I know he doesn't like when I wipe off the saliva, but I don't know what else to do. We've talked about it and he says he can't help it and is upset when I wipe my mouth after he kisses me :( When he purses his lips and lunges towards me for a kiss his lips are really pursed up like a duck and I don't find that appealing. What do I do? I love him.

A reader, anonymous, writes (8 June 2018):

Easy remedy. Accept the juicy kiss, and plant it back on his cheek. That way you give him back the excess wetness, and you also return the affection.

A kiss is affectionate, and everybody has their own brand. His are wet. So, you can work your way around that. Kiss him back on the face or neck.

Don't let him see you wipe it off. So many men and women come to DC in distress; because their spouses or romantic-partners never kiss them, or show them affection.

Consider yourself blessed. You'll miss them if they stop!
