A male Canada age 36-40, anonymous writes:

Me and this girl have been hanging out quite a bit recently. I got her number at a party a few weeks ago and weve talked a few times and hung out a couple but just recently been going over to her house, she invited me to a hockey game with her, and we always have alot of fun, and gives me a big hug whenever i leave.

Now, i really really like her BUT, she leaves for australia friday morning for 5 months, i dont know what to do, im not even completely sure she likes me, i havent had time alone with her to ask her or talk to her about it, cuz her sister is always around us. I want to just let her know that i do like her so my plan is since valentines day is coming up and she will be gone by then, i am going to buy some roses and a cute stuffed animal and give it to her tommorow when she said she would stop by and say goodbye. Do you think this is a good idea?

I told her i have a going away gift for her when she stops by and she said "oh, no dont! you better not!", and i said well maybe i already have it and she said "no you dont! and i dont want it! lol", is she being serious or do you think shes acting like a lot of girls do and just saying they dont want something but truly want it.

What do you all think, overall bad idea, good idea? or should i just sit her down and talk about things?

Sal84 agony auntGifts like the one you mentioned are given by everybody.

You need to be unique and unpredictable.

Girls her age are often given the same things and that does not make you different from what others.

I am sure u can think of something unique....I'll give u a hint....instead of giving physical objects...do something for her...like cook her a meal or sing a song for her...now that's something she'll remember.

tiger27 agony auntHiya

It depends how this girl said "no don't"

If you can I think it would be a good diea to sit her down and tell her how you feel, be open and honest most people appreciate that but if you cant talk to her on your own I think, ask her sister and see what she thinks as if they are always together she would know best.
