 Not necessarily hun, it could be that he just likes how he looks in those pics best and like most of us, he wants to put up a profile pic that he feels good about..If he was missing you, he would call or email you or tell a friend of yours to tell you how he feels. Don't read too much into it hun, it's just a picture!
