 Okay, firstly, there's no such thing as 'practically engaged'. You either are or you aren't, and you've only been together for three months.
Not wanting to take any pictures with you is really odd, there's probably something else going on he's not telling you about. I don't think he's ashamed of you, but it does sound like he doesn't want everyone to know he has a girlfriend.
