A male reader, anonymous, writes (21 April 2008):

If you're not related then the rest is semantics. Incest laws were created to protect from genetic inbreeding. If you're not related and it's illegal then the law is ignorant. Anyone who thinks it's wrong is also ignorant. If you're both happy then where is the problem?

To LJ001; they've already done the deed and the only way matters can be further complicated is if their family finds out or he gets her pregnant. So the submitter needs to make sure that doesn't happen.

I think you need to be checking your laws but even if it is not classed as incest then you better be careful, I wonder how both of your parents will feel about it? Also....make sure it is safe sex because babies really would complicate things.

Maybe it's not officially incest, because you guys aren't blood related. But you're as close as families can get without blood relation, so it's still pretty disgusting. I'm sorry, but what were you thinking? She's your stepsister. If something went wrong between you - which it most likely will - then you've got to still see her an awful lot through your life. You'll know each others most private parts. You'll know each others sexual habits. How could you ever look at her in the same way again?! I don't believe what you did was right, whether it was incest or not. But by the sounds of it, you're not going to stop having sex with your stepsister anyways even if it was illegal. You're young, you're horny, so the chances are, you'll even break the law to get what you fancy. Incest or not, it's wrong.

Your related by law instead of by blood, so this is not incest.

Not sure of your local laws, and whether if other laws may apply. Example; in one state within the USA, a 17 yo was jailed for his 15 yo girlfriend giving him head. There was an outcry by the public, and after 2 years, they released him (should never had gone to court in the first place).

It depends...

But I think it's emotionally and mentally wrong, considering weather or not you were raised together. Ever seen Lonestar State of Mind? Good movie. The main character is engaged to his stepsister because they were dating before thier parents were.

If you were raised together...I consider it pretty wrong.

A reader, anonymous, writes (21 April 2008):

It depends on the law in Canada, or the specific province you live in. But generally, no. Incest is considered sex between two people who share a common blood ancestor. If she is not related to you by blood, that is, you don't both have the same mother or father, then it is not incest. In some places, sex between step-relatives is considered incest, so check the law where you live.

Did you stepsister enjoy the sex? Who initiated it, you or her? Is she pretty hot and sexy? And does she want to continue having sex with you?
