But I find that women are very private about masturbation. Is female masturbation frowned upon? Do guys find it a turn on or is it totally the opposite? What are people's views on it? I think the old adage "An Apple a day keeps the Doctor Away" was probably a misquote. It's perfectly healthy and the safest sex that there is!! Guys are not turned off by knowing that you are a sexual being - and they do occasionally like it as "performance art" (AND you don't have to participate if you aren't comfortable with this!). There are some religious types who frown upon this practice - but who cares, that is their own problem, not yours. Your body - your rules - I say. I'm pretty sure God gave us the orgasm for a reason, and self-pleasuring releases a lot of endorphins! If you have an intimate knowledge of your own responses, you become a better sex partner too. Normal behavior, absolutely normal. There haven't been any popular cultural refences to female masturbation in movies, but it's as normal to masturbate for girls as is is for guys.

 As to your questions:
a) some people do frown upon masturbation, male or female, usually for religious reasons.
b) As far as I know, many males find female masturbation a huge turn on. I have never know about a male who doesn't.
c) If I were dating a girl and she said she is masturbating, I wouldn't find her a bad person. Rather, I'd be glad to relieve her of that burden and help her.
