brooke5426 agony auntsounds good but depending on the girl she may feel embarrassed so be careful. you wouldnt want her to feel like she has to get you something equally as expensive or you would be disappointed, but realistically she wont know the price because it is a gift and it is rude to tell someone the price of a gift you bought them so im sure she will love it x

skye agony auntI agree with the other girls. I bet your girlfriend will adore her gift. She is certainly a very lucky young lady.

Dont worry about the expense. You obviously believe she is worth it.

A few years ago my boyfriend bought me a beautiful white gold 1 carat emerald pendant that he had specially designed for me. At that time we where together 6 months. I love my gift and I wear it everyday. Now we are married and very happy together. Like you, he believed it to be the perfect gift....he was right! Trust your instincts, for you know its the perfect gift.

She will see it for the thoughtful gift it is meant to be.

I wish you both the very best of luck together.

Skye

Its not the cost of the gift but the thought that goes into it that matters...

TasteofIndia agony auntHey sweetness,

I think if you're serious about this girl, I think your gift is just right. It's thoughtful and something that she can cherish forever. You sound like a very sweet (and generous) boyfriend. Your girl is really lucky!

Hope she loves it (she will)!

A female reader, anonymous, writes (27 August 2007):

I got a 7 dollar bottle of cheap arbor mist wine and a couple scratch off lottery tickets for my b-day. And last year I got a 5 dollar pet laser pointer... So I'd say your girlfriend is lucky. Not as lucky as say, a guy who can afford to buy his gf a new car, but luckier than a lot of girls. A lot of guys don't even care enough to get thier gf a present in the 1st place. I am sure she'll really appreciate it, and it is not too much to spend. It's actually very appropriate. But why did you post the ? twice??
