writes:hi I need help, Im 15. i started growing pubic hair around late twelves and its neva been a problem. but recently i have noticed samml white pimples at the base of the pubic hair and around the base of the penis and scroteum. i havent had sex so it can't be an std so does anyone have what i do? :S

 I agree with a previous poster from experience: Popping yeilds scars.Washing with watered down facial acne wash worked for me. Be careful with your choice of wash, however... Those with even a slight bit of menthol/camphor can give quite the uncomfortable cold/tingly sensation!The small pimples are normal. I was told by the doctor I asked that because the hairs are there, and there is sweat and possible/likely not perfectly clean conditions, pimples will occur.

 Ive seen questions like this from time to time, people give the answer of its to do with hair folicles (not sure on spelling)and things like ingrown hairs and if not then its just the way your skin goes, by that i mean its not an infection or anything harmfull. I would reccomend going to your doctor, im not sure of anyway to home treat it apart from keeping clean and not irratating them (by trying to squeeze or pop them) and maybe try exfoliating the area (as difficult as it may be to exfoliate that area :P). But your doctor will know on how to treat them, i know for a fact its a common problem so if theres a way to sort it he will know.
