A female reader, intouch +, writes (2 December 2006):

intouch agony auntdont be hasty, if your feelings for your partener are fading deal with that first, dont be distracted by a scape goat, it might hurt that way, be honest with your partener, if he is true and a good match for you he will listen and hear you, you can do something positive about your feeling then, if the relationship is at an end then with tact it will end smoothly, either way you will get an answer to the first question, if it is at an end you are free to move on, then would be the time to be sure of your feeling for his friend, if they are still strong be patient, he will come to you, it is in his nature! this way you dont get hurt, and no anger or resentment will be justly directed towards you, goodluck, step slowly
